Products are securely collected and arrive at CRUK processing facility where they will be booked into our internal asset management database and controlled as unique items throughout our process.
Typically, items will be checked for electrical safety, their specification and grade recorded along with serial & asset numbers, data will be securely eradicated and the product functionally tested.
Grade A & Grade B Windows PCs, Laptops, Tablets & Monitors, no older than 8 years of age are allocated to CRUK Get Online @ Home offer, where I.T equipment is professionally refurbished and extended to reduce carbon footprint and help tackle both the UK & Northern Irelands digital divide with affordable refurbished computers. Get Online @ Home is an Initiative first developed by Microsoft in 2010 to help achieve affordable digital access for all, and now run and led by CRUK, supporting Local Authorities, Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Organisations, Charities, Schools, Job Centres, & Housing Associations with affordable digital access.
All other Items that are functional and are not required for CRUK Get Online @ Home offering are allocated to CRUK trade pallet sale department. CRUK prides itself in its trading of IT assets where we have established ourselves and as such are able to ensure sales values are maximised, by tackling digital poverty and an established network of thousands of UK traders with whom we are in regular communication with.
CRUK are able to use this intelligence to advise clients on their redundant I.T Fair Market Values and when is a good time for them to replace their equipment.
